Name: Cabool R-IV School District
Student Population: 800
Like many school districts across North America, Cabool’s network suffered from performance issues caused by aging IT assets. The IT hardware was outdated and the network was not up-to-speed. As the systems grew older, the network continued to perform less optimally. It was becoming increasingly hard for the students and teachers to go through their classroom activities especially when connecting to the network is a crucial part of learning. The scarcity of funds at the school district posed challenge for an upgrade.
CDI was chosen as the preferred vendor by Cabool for upgrading their Network. It helped that Randon Brown, the District Technology Coordinator, had worked with CDI earlier and knew how the company delivered. CDI set their objectives for Cabool to obtain machines that perform to modern 21st-century standards, and provide students and teachers with top of the line equipment. A comprehensive IT upgrade was carried out involving Dell tower servers, CALs and Server 2012. CDI encouraged Cabool to take advantage of an attractive offer on IT equipment and carried out the entire implementation at a minimalist budget.
With the new infrastructure equipment, Cabool’s students have uninterrupted access to the very latest technology and education materials. They are now enjoying a more immersive education experience. Randon notes that IT Help tickets have been drastically reduced across the board thanks to the implementation CDI provided. The school is happy that they were able to achieve the IT Network transformation within an affordable budget.
Looking ahead, Randon looks to continue modernizing and advancing Cabool’s technology infrastructure, passing greater accessibility on to students to help them succeed in their education, and their careers.
